Onyx 360

The Ask

Onyx-360 came to me to do more than redesign a website. They needed a clear, confident brand foundation that could stand out in a highly technical, crowded market. The ask was to define how the brand shows up digitally, how it explains itself, how it earns trust, and how it scales as the business grows.

My responsibility was to set the creative vision, align stakeholders around a single narrative, and lead the design of a website that translates deep engineering expertise into clarity.

The Challenge

Onyx 360 operates in complexity, advanced simulation, automation, and industrial systems that don’t naturally lend themselves to simple storytelling. The existing experience leaned heavily into technical detail without a strong point of view, which made it difficult for new audiences to quickly understand what Onyx 360 does and why it matters.

I needed to:

  • Define a clear positioning that differentiated Onyx-360 from competitors
  • Design for multiple audiences; engineers, operators, and executives, without fragmenting the experience
  • Create a visual and UX system that felt precise and industrial, but not cold or inaccessible
  • Build an information architecture that could grow alongside the business

The Creative Direction

I anchored the entire experience around one core principle: bringing clarity to complexity.

From there, I led the brand and experience strategy to position Onyx 360 as a connected performance partner, not just a provider of tools, but a trusted guide in high-stakes operational environments.

Brand & Messaging
I established a positioning framework that shifts the conversation from features to outcomes, confidence, visibility, risk reduction, and operational readiness. I worked closely with stakeholders to translate technical depth into language that resonates with both technical and executive audiences.

UX & Experience Strategy
I directed user research and content prioritization to restructure the site around how people actually explore solutions. The architecture was intentionally modular, allowing users to move from high-level value to technical detail without friction. This also created a scalable system that supports future offerings.

Visual System
Established a systems-driven design language, clean typography, structured layouts, and subtle industrial cues that feel credible without feeling cold. The approach balances technical authority with approachability, creating a visual system that’s confident, and distinctly modern for an industrial brand.

The Results

The final site delivers a clear, confident brand experience that reflects how Onyx 360 operates in the real world.

The impact:

  • A unified brand narrative that clearly differentiates Onyx 360 in a crowded market
  • Stronger clarity across solutions and industries
  • A scalable design and content system built for long-term growth
  • Better alignment between leadership vision and customer perception
