SkipHop x Sesame Street

SkipHop x Sesame Street

The Ask

I was tasked with leading the creative for a collaboration between Skip Hop and Sesame Street, developing a campaign for a kids’ bags and mealtime collection that honored Sesame Street’s iconic legacy while making it feel fresh, modern, and relevant for today’s families.

The Challenge

Sesame Street carries decades of cultural equity and nostalgia. The challenge was to tap into that emotional connection without leaning on it too heavily, balancing timeless characters with Skip Hop’s modern design sensibility. The work needed to resonate with parents, feel contemporary, and perform across digital, social, and retail environments.

The Creative Direction

I art-directed a campaign built around contrast: classic characters set within a modern, real-world context. To ground the work in authenticity, I led a photoshoot on the instantly recognizable Brooklyn stoop, an iconic, urban setting that gave the campaign a lived-in, contemporary edge. The photography and visual language celebrated nostalgia, but through a lens that felt current, playful, and culturally relevant.

The Results

The campaign delivered strong engagement and performance across channels, reinforcing the collaboration as both emotionally resonant and commercially effective.

  • +35% increase in social media engagement
  • +20% increase in website traffic during the campaign period

Digital Impact

  • Rolled out across web, social, and email
  • 3M+ social media impressions
  • +25% email click-through rate vs. previous campaigns
  • Highly shareable content driving organic reach and brand advocacy

Retail Impact

  • Featured prominently in Carter’s retail locations across the U.S. and Mexico
  • +15% lift in in-store sales
  • Increased foot traffic and visibility at point of purchase

The Final Outcome

By pairing cultural nostalgia with modern creative execution, the campaign delivered a cohesive brand experience across digital and physical touchpoints, strengthening emotional connection, increasing engagement, and driving measurable business results.
